OUR ADVENTURES

We have morning and afternoon rental and guided tour packages available. Both Rental and Guided Tour packages are complete with complimentary coolers, dry bags, comfortable backrests, life vests and all gear. So put on your swimsuits, sunglasses and sunscreen, pack up some ice, snacks and beverages and you're all ready for your Wailua River Waterfall Adventure! Bring a towel and comfortable shoes for the trail. Confirm with your credit card, pay at check in.

5 Hour Wailua River Secret Falls Rainforest Adventure Guided Trip

Our guided Wailua river kayak, hike, and waterfall adventure tour is a real treat! You can paddle, swim, and hike to your heart’s content. Our fun and friendly Hawaiian guides share local Kauai history and lore as you kayak the lush and tranquil Wailua River. Coolers, gear, and waterproof dry bags are included in the tour. Please bring your lunch for the tour.

7:15 AM Tour


The first Wailua River Secret Falls Rainforest Adventure starts at 7:15 am. The package includes all gear. For adults (age 13+), the entire package costs $125+tax, and for children (ages 5-12), it costs $100+tax.


12:45 PM Tour


The second Wailua River Secret Falls Rainforest Adventure starts at 12:45 pm. The package includes all gear, including waterproof dry bags for your cameras and a cooler for your snacks and beverages. For adults (age 13+), the entire package costs $125+tax, and for children (ages 5-12), it costs $100+tax.

Want to explore the Wailua River on your own? Rent a double, single, or tri-kayak with us and start your adventure. You can launch from our convenient location, steps away from the Wailua River State Park Launch.

Sights to Look Out For


With our 5-hour kayak rental, you will be kayaking 2 miles up the Wailua River. You will come across the beautiful Kauai vistas of Mt. Waialeale, which is the wettest spot on Kauai and the wettest spot on Earth. You will also find the Sleeping Giant, Mt. Nou Nou.

Whether you’re a beginner hiker or a more professional one, get ready for a hiking adventure through Kauai after your kayaking. Make your way into the lush tropical rain forest, which will take you to the famous Uluwehi “Secret Falls.” You can also stop for some exciting photography, as you enjoy a refreshing dip in Nature’s Pool!

Our kayak rental services include all gear (dry bags, coolers, life vests, river maps), and no hauling is required. The pricing is: 


  • Double Kayak Rental ($150+Tax&Fees)
  • Single Kayak Rentals ($80+Tax&Fees)
  • Tri-Kayak Rentals - Seats up to 2 adults and one child (age 5-7) ($175+Tax&Fees)

Wailua Kayak & Canoe is available Monday through Friday and only closed on Saturday and Sunday. We are located on the north bank of the Wailua River at the bridge and traffic light. Please note that individuals undergoing pregnancy, recent major surgeries, or a bad back or shoulder are restricted from kayaking.
